Ep. 107: Start Your Engines, Gentlemen

It’s time to start talking playoff races …

The Basketball Jones ‘The Fix’ — Episode 107 (.mp3)

In today’s show, Tas and I predict the teams with the best chance of securing the final few playoff spots. Are the re-energized Hornets a lock? How does Livingston’s injury affect the Clips? Should we stick a fork in the Wade-less Heat? Can the Magic get their act together in time? Etcetera, etcetera …

We (Skeets) also explains why the Mavs should throw some games, we hand out our Whoa Boy fantasy line-of-the-night and contemplate taking more Sunday shows off for the sake of our Book It!

    Okay hear me out:
Gilbert mentions on his latest blog the award he won for “Best Player Blog” on DanShanoff.com. Obviously, he’s seen the article, which mean he may have clicked on the Jones link and might be listening at this very moment…….awesome.

    Topic for tommorrow’s show:

No one has really talked about this, but Isiah Thomas has actually done a decent job coaching the Knicks this year. If he didn’t have so many overpaid players that he selected, i think he could do a good job. I think him coaching the players that he traded for will make him a better GM and coach. He has proven that he can draft well and I’m willing to bet that when he finally turns loose some of those bad contracts he can pull the Knicks out of the ditch they’ve been in for the past couple years.
