Was LeBron the buffalo, lion or crocodile?

The Basketball Jones ‘NBA Finals Game 1 Recap’ — Episode 177 (.mp3)

On today’s show, Tas and I breakdown Game 1 of the NBA Finals. We get into the Spurs stifling defense and how Le-Bro needs to speed things up; why Coach Brown must grab a hold of that Boobie and never let go; the surprising rebounding numbers; and much, much, more…

Bron has no fundamentals.. therefore no mid-range game and no D. If only he had gone to college for a year or 2. He would then dominate everything.. I just don’t see how the Cavs can do anything against the Spurs. The cavs themselves say that they try to emulate the spurs, but their nothing is better then the original.

Oh yeah I just heard stephen a and Scoop Jackson of ESPN say that if the Spurs win and Duncan gets another MVP award that he is the best player post Jordan. What do you guys think? I think they are right.

Oh yeah to all you people who say that the Spurs aren’t a dynasty because they haven’t won in consecutive years. Well when did the Celtics win in consecutive years during the 80’s and they are considered as one of the best dynasties of all time. Food for thought I guess.

I’ve been rewarding a Babgina of the Night for years.

I hope this series goes 7 because I need more Tas in my life. Did you ever know you’re my hero, and everything I would like to be? Skeets, it must be cold there in his shadows…

Naw, it’s quite comfortable actually. I’m wearing shorts. Tight ones.

Oh, are we playing that game! Fine, I’ll go next: I’m wearing a nice stylish short sleeve button down shirt, which allows my biceps to be exposed in their greatness. I have on a pair of nice denim jeans which covers my Wonder Woman underoos.

    Who’s next?

After listening this morning, I checked YouTube and noticed that the Kruger vid was locked in at 4,064,000 views.

Right now? 4.14-million. The power of the Jones is strong.

Is this Tas or Skeets explaining why they liked the Battle at Kruger?

  8. Alan at 4:44 pm on 06.08.2007

What do you guys think of this proposed NBA realignment?

  9. KD at 5:40 pm on 06.08.2007

Fitz is a great guy, he truly is — but you can’t have Phoenix flying to Washington and vice versa for an opening round series. It just won’t make anything any easier. I realize that’s just one series in eight, but I remember looking at a 1-through-16 seed bracket I made up a few years ago, and nearly all the series had Boston going to Sacramento, New Jersey going to the coast, etc. Just having one LD series in the first round (like PHX/WAS) is pretty lucky, actually.

The NBA needs to re-align, throw division championships out the window; but it’s up to EC GMs to stop acting like out-and-out turds and make their conference better.

  10. Colonel D. Williams (Ret.) at 7:30 pm on 06.08.2007

I have done some intense scientific research and concluded that this 2007 Cavs team is the worst team the Spurs have met in the playoffs since the first round of 2004 when they swept the Memphis Grizzlies.

If this upsets you, then don’t hate me. Hate science. The Spurs, an efficient blend of science and fantasy (I’m referring to TD’s “Merlin” nickname), are way too much for the bright eyed Cavs. The Cavs best chance is to bore the Spurs into giving a game or two away.

Spurs in 5, only because they will lose focus one game, not because the Cavs are actually any good.

    Dismissed,

    The Colonel

    LeBuffalo!
    Gregg Crocovich!
Battle at Kruger/NBA Finals metaphor is genius, guys.
