Shaquille O’Neal Ballin’ In Beijing
It’s tough to tell thanks to the Robitussin-less camera work, but I’ve got Shaq’s final stat line down at: zero points (on 0-2 shooting), two boards, one assist, one block, one steal and one blatant walk in just two minutes of heated three-on-three action. He doesn’t seem to be trying very hard, though, so I can only guess his mind is preoccupied with buying 24-inch dubs for Yao . . .

China kills everyone’s game. Been there, done that.
That kid with the black shorts has McHale-like low post moves, and showed no fear lowering his shoulder into Shaq’s groin. Based on that, Chad Ford has installed him as a sure lottery pick for 2015.
You know, would have been funnier if he had gone KG on these guys, blocking shots, grabbing every board, and repeated NutMegging. Probably explains why he’s usually in bad shape, his workout partners are commies, who want everyone to be equal.
You hate to see McHale yanked from the game via telephone immediately after giving up that 5-hole assist, though.
What’s amazing (seriously) about that video? Shaq shoots the first pull-up jumper I’ve ever seen him take. Ever. My jaw actually dropped when I saw that in the video (with 1:10 to go)…even though he traveled.
Not sure if it’s your mistake or Shaq’s, but they wouldn’t be called dubs if they were 24’s. Dub is a reference to 20. When the term was really big in regards to rims it’s because you rarely saw rims bigger than 20’s.
I just watched that a second time, and I don’t think anyone made a single basket. And there were at least 2 airballs. I would have liked to have seen Shaq loaf for a while and then do one of his Gorilla Dunks and tear the whole side of the building off.
No, no, no . . . I think somebody scores off of Shaq’s AND-1 pass. You can’t see it on camera, but you hear everyone clap and then the ball is checked.
[…] I think Shaq was the last pick in this game. […]
He’s mailing it in.
Awesome! Some of those airballs made me cringe though - especially the one off a shaq pass that falls about a yard short of the rim. I gotta agree though that it would have been nice to see a Shaq monster dunk over one of those dudes…
that ain’t traveling
Um . . . yes it is, Donaghy.
