Amber Links Of Grain: Watch For The Hot Light, Noah!
“Amber Links Of Grain” is The Basketball Jones’ new daily link dump featuring some of finest shiznit from the NBA blogosphere, YouTubes and Internets. Send submissions to jones@thebasketballjones.net. Or don’t. Your call, really.
1. Bulls guard Ben Gordon took Joakim Noah’s per diem for failing to live up to his rookie responsibilities by bringing Dunkin’ Donuts to practice instead of Krispy Kreme. Dance, rookie! Dance! [Chicago Tribune]
2. Jiri Welsch / I played for the Warriors? Really? [Straight Cash Homey]
3. Doug Christie, via his blog: “All along, I have had my sights set on playing for the N.Y. Knicks again and have been waiting to see how the roster will pan out, but to play for Isiah Thomas again would be awesome! I have so much respect for him as a person and a coach.” Um, something tells me Jackie wouldn’t really appreciate being called a “bitch,” Doug. Just a hunch. [MVN]
4. A little more Noah. Bernhardt reports: “He’ll fit in well with the Bulls big men with an uncanny ability to get his hands on loose balls and even pitching in a few steals. He finished strong and above the rim, and showed impressive athleticism when blocking and challenging shots. He’s ready to join the frontcourt rotation right away.” [Blog-a-Bull]
5. I have my Raps season ticket draft tonight. If I’m lucky enough to score the number one pick, I’m thinking Celtics or Lakers. Any other teams I should have on my radar? Let’s hear ‘em in the comments.

On the topic of Raptors tickets, if you yourself Skeets are interested or anyone else I have seasons tickets for sale as low as 50% off. All of the games are 3 seats in section 106, row 28. Great seats, awesome view of not only the whole court but the whole arena, and the best part is…. the box seats are behind you meaning you can stand up the whole game. Sorry for using your bloq as an advertisement but if anyone is interested check me out on facebook.
whatever you do, dont go to the Bulls’ games. last thing we need is rabid raps fans on the road. Get the pistons tix ;-)
tunez, the i don’t think the sprite zone is what he was looking for :P
doug christie has gone crazy the last few years. this didn’t happen when he was with the kings
Yeah, the last thing we need are more Raps fans cheering those damn long offensive rebounds.

I’ve never actually seen one, to be honest. It’s rep just worked on its own behalf.
You have to actually type in the “’s” at the end of the URL. Unless you want to learn stuff.
youve gotta take the tix when the warriors are in town. not only are you 95% likely to see an ejection, but maybe stephen jackson will resort to his pacer days and become “physically acquainted” with the fans. better bring your kevlar.
I’ve got Warriors tickets and Spurs tickets, but I would recommend the Lakers. The Celtics will come to Toronto twice, and the Western teams only once. Go with the West.
Definitely get tix to the 3 amigos show(Celtics). And I would say look for Nets tickets too. Never pass up an opportunity to boo VC when he returns to town.
Skeets,
you should draft MIL, CHA, LAC, ATL and SAC that way I get all the good games.
You need that Rockets game. You know you want to watch T-Mac and Yao in an actual offense. And you want to see Mike James because you know you miss is craziness and his references to hookers, lobster, and his contract situation.
Calo called it…take GS. But wear some Kevlar.
Bahamas!
Clear your calendar for the Lakers, Rockets, Suns, Warriors, and if you’re bored, why not the Sonics, sneak an early peek at Durant…
Well… i would say the to go watch the Magic. Might be interesting. And the Celtics of course.
You’re wrong on point #3. Doug Christie would probably love the Knicks. He’s used to being called “bitch” by the wife…
