Ep. 227: Quarter Review

The Basketball Jones — The Fix — Episode 227 (.mp3)
On today’s show, Tas and I look back at the NBA season — 25 games old. We discuss a few surprising teams and players, scold those who have disappointed us, pick our early MVP, Rook and MIP winners, and much, much more.
We also talk Jordan’s Bobcats, question Simmons’ Bargnani trade proposal and Whoa Boy it up. Enjoy!
Today’s overall rating: 4 All-Star Shimmies!

it doesnt show on my itunes nor the last show, weird???
Alex, I’d give today’s a bit more time to update in iTunes still. It’s not always automatic. Hold tight.
With that said, is anyone else having iTunes problems?
It didn’t show on my iTunes either, but I listen to it at work when it’s posted, so…
Weird. It downloaded for me in iTunes.
Maybe try re-subscribing to the show … I don’t know.
The most improved is gay!
Feisty Headlines today.
Skeets just wants you to re-subscribe for the numbers.
Everyone buy ten computers and subscribe ten times. Thanks.
By the way … Tas’ “finger guns” = Tas’ annoying visual cue for “hurry the hell up, Skeets”
Tim Duncan went to Wake Forest!
I’d rather have Tas’ finger guns than a Ball Claw.
I like the Travis Outlaw pick for most improved. He is about the same age as the sophomore players, but is in his 5th year in the NBA. He has shown actual improvement year to year, as opposed to good players that have shown improvement because of more playing time.
I like the Travis Outlaw pick for most improved. He plays for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Fixed.
(Jokes.)
Great point about why Jordan would be a poor coach. Gretzky also has the Midas Touch in everything else he does, but has struggled behind the bench. It has to be because it’s un-possible for these guys to relate to others who the game just doesn’t come as naturally to.
Is Skeets a bike courier?
