Ep. 231: Who’s Better, Who’s Best?

The Basketball Jones — The Fix — Episode 231 (.mp3)

On today’s show, Tas and I review Wednesday night’s busy NBA schedule. We discuss, among other things, the Nets comeback win in Orlando, Dirk’s semi-revenge game, and who’s playing better ball right now — the Celtics or Pistons?

We also vote Bosh, Whoa Boy it up and thank Hitley for keep the ‘Book It’ streak alive. Enjoy!

    No All-Star Shimmies?

I’m tired of the AS Shimmies and/or Sneeds. We need something new …

    ASS Shimmies sounds promising.

Come on guys, the reason we were so tired last night was because we’ve played 17 out of the last 26 on the road!

Plus you know how we do in the bay, me and The Captain were out a little late the last couple of nights if you know what I mean.

It would be interesting to see how much differently people would be looking at the C’s (not the Cavaliers) if Detroit hadn’t won in Boston. It’s amazing how 3 points swung in the other direction would go a long way towards changing people’s perceptions.

Ultimately, though, Detroit did win, which is why you play the game. As a Celtics fan, I am very interested to see how they fare in Detroit this Saturday. Whether they win or lose, I hope it’s a hotly contested back-and-forth war.

I just found out about your podcasts a couple of weeks ago and love listening to them at work. Very informal, conversational feel with superb production. Keep up the good work!
