    I am also Australian, don’t have the same first name, but prefer Luc Longley. I think it was the red hair coupled with the ability to make a nifty pass out of the triangle.

    With the amount of PC ass-kissing the stars of this league engage in (MJ, LeBron), I dont mind hearing what AI, Bogut or someone else has to say even if people dont want to hear it.
    Bogut spoke his mind. I know that its really not looked favorably by people but every freaking week we have to listen to people tell us what a hero than brain dead Ali was because he spoke up. You know how hated he was for what he said?
    Btw, nothing wrong in what Bogut said and its not even a fraction of what euro players say when they get back home.
    For all the haters, his words were: “The public’s got it right, a lot of NBA stars are arrogant and like to spend lots of money and have lots of girlfriends and all that.”
    What part do you disagree?
    As for the american culture of spending/consumerism, ever watch rap videos? Are there any made that dont feature hoes, cars, jewelry, champagne, etc?
    My neighbour David hates Bogut because he wears WW2 nazi symbols but still respects him speaking out.

    i don’t hate bogut cos of how he plays (he’s not bad, and i’ve got him on my fantasy team).

    i don’t hate him because of what he said (free speech and all that, and i don’t even know if i disagree with him).

    i disliked him before he was even drafted. and i simply don’t have a rational reason for it. tall poppy syndrome perhaps? i did think at the time that he came across a bit arrogant…
