Good Point about Yao and the Olympics. They need him their or this Olympics will be a bust.
Hollinger makes a great case for the Rockets still making the playoffs.

Superb call-out of the entire Barry family.
“And remember…eat breakfast?” Tas, you’re losing the touch.
I’m confused… So Canada’s chief export is basketball podcasts? And you guys are 90% of the basketball podcasts? You guys gotta get a new minister of finance/economics.
And what the hell does TBJ Girl say about the Lithuanian gold stars? All I can make out is “We’re ….. 5 Lithuanian gold stars.”
Please guys, help clear up my inconsequential confusion.
So now that he’s won the “Whoa Boy,” is Mo Williams eligible for a “Mo-cifer, son of the mornin’” from Skeets?
It’s true, Corey! The other 10% is the famous Basketball Smith podcast which is only cut together once every two weeks (roughly).

Man, you guys don’t miss a thing!
Man, you guys don’t miss a thing!
To be fair, Skeets, I’m a Jones newcomer that listened to about 20 episodes at work on Monday, so it’s fresher to me. And The Black Album still bangs.
As a soul-crushed lifelong Knicks fan transplanted to Boston and forced to watch the Celtics rise again, it’s been tough to maintain a love of the Association … but coming across you guys has definitely sparked my interest again. Keep up the outstanding work, gents.
haha, nice Keenan.
I’m still looking for an explanation about the Lithuanian gold stars. Maybe I just need to get my ears cleaned out.
On that note:
we all need more “extremely sultry voice” sound bits
The Jones agree, Sari. We’re working on gettin’ Caroline back in the booth to record a few new stingers.
And oh, Corey … here’s your Lith explanation. Check the last link.
1. please stop mentioning how cold it is there, you’re making me jealous. max temps (in celsius, none of that loopy fahrenheit stuff) the last few days where i am: 33, 35.5, 37, 37.5 and its forecast to be 39 today and 37 tomorrow. with 36 and 38 on monday and tuesday.
2. what the hell is the difference between “prideful” and “proud”?
@ Corey: 3 out of 5 stars? We were supposed to start with 5 members of the TBJ crew, all of us with some Lithuanian descent, but unfortunately we lost 2 of them. That stinger is a tribute to our fallen comrades and the 3 of us that remain.
@ Andrew: Proud and prideful? Nothing.
Instead of having a “design a t-shirt” contest, you should have a “write the thing that Caroline says when you get her back into the booth” contest. That would solve your phone call problem right quick.
I dont think the Yao thing is a conspiracy. I think it was all part of the deal to get him in the first place. The National team comes first. China says shut him down so the Rox do. ANY injury would trigger it in this Olympics year.
Vince Carter is half man half amazing and three quarters pussy.
Rudy Gay is well on his way to being a fantastic scorer and completely incompetent at every other facet of the game of basketball.
Martell Webster has the sweetest jump shot in the league.
If the Spurs could have, for free, any players they wanted from the knicks, with the Knicks paying those players’ salaries, the only players the Spurs would take would be Lee and Balkman.
Technical flaws in LeBron’s shot mean he will never shoot jumpers at a high percentage–which is a good thing.
Jason Kapono is an underrated defensive player.
Devin Harris will battle depression for the next 18 months. DeSagana Diop will emigrate back to Sudan.
Wally Szerbiak has more in the tank than people think.
Jordan Farmar, a defensive-minded floor leader with proven experience in an elite college conference, a perfect jump shot, and a 42 inch vertical leap (all of these attributes were well-known to every NBA GM prior to the draft), was drafted 26th–after Randy Foye, Patrick O’Bryant, Mohammed Sene, JJ Reddick, Cedric Simmons, Oleksiy Pecherov, Quincy Douby, Kyle Lowry, and Shannon Brown.
The reason Tim Duncan is the best low-post defender in the NBA is he does’t jump.
Kevin Calabro is the best play-by-play man in the league. The guy who does color for the Hornets is the worst.
Shaq will shoot under 45% from the field this season.
The Lakers will win the championship.
Skeets and Tas are the best.
“write the thank that caroline says when you get her back in the booth”?
That sounds so dirty, I need to wash my mouth out with soap.
I can keep calling, but all I do is taunt skeets and entice Tas with liquor.
And when I called with the Mavs/Wizards falling out of the playoffs, I was going to say Rockets, but I decided they would make it and loss in the first round again. I may of picked the wrong texas team.
