Tas, as a Kanye fan you should know to wear your safebelt.
Hey guys,
Come on Tas, even a monkey knows to put a seat belt on.
Two questions about defence:
1)Even my girlfriend noticed how poorly the Raps are playing D, and she doesn’t watch basketball. Are switches in the lineup even going to make a dent in what seems to be a teamwide aversion to getting in the opponent’s grill? Will starting Calderon in make a difference if no one else D’s up?
2)Are the Lakers that good, or is Denver’s D that bad? I don’t see the Lakers carving up any other team with such good passing, or even Denver for the remainder of the series.
I don’t buy your fake enthusiasm, I know these Raptors losses have taken your hearts and souls
Lakers freakin’ killed Utah a few weeks ago with the best passing/spacing I’ve seen all season. And that was sans Pau…
You guys kill me with your Phoenix homer-ism. Phoenix didn’t lose last night because they didn’t “try” hard enough, to say so is to say that Phoenix doesn’t care to win. Maybe that’s the case with Denver, but not Phoenix.
Gentlemen - what’s the song playing in the background during Skeets and Tas’s initial introduction, just after the opening credits theme ends?
Thanks

Is there another playoff team in modern history that is so consistently bad as the Raptors in the first quarter, but then outplays the other team for the rest of the game just enough to barely lose, but make it look as if they tried hard? This is really a mind numbing experience to watch.
Wasn’t Anthony Parker guarding Hedo for the go ahead shot?
Tony, the Lakers offense is pretty efficient but Denver’s defense was not giving the Lakers any qualms.
As for Phoenix, I’m going to put some blame on D’Antoni. LB was simply terrible yet remained on for prolonged periods of time. Pop was not hesitant to pull Oberto when he was struggling. Furthermore, as good as that Phoenix training staff is, you have to be prepared for injuries. Imagine if someone like DJ Strawberry had been given playing time during the year and could thus relieve some pressure from the terrible pg defense of Nash and Barbosa.
The think about the Lakers is that their best passing doesn’t come from the point or Kobe, but from Pau and Lamar. I know the Nuggets are terrible on rotations, but is there really a team equiped to deal with two passing big men like that? That’s really the underrated thing about the Gasol trade…not that “Odom is a great 3rd option” but that, fuck…Lamar really loves playing with Gasol. Their chemistry is really whats making the Lakers so great, having nothing to do with anything Kobe’s doing different. I think Odom should hire me to defend him in the media.
Anyways, I finished listening to you guys, and now i’m listening to Bill Simmons, and he is just making me want to shoot myself in the head. I wish you guys would just yell for 70 minutes.
Forgive my impertinence, Jones Gang — but was there a Book It! for this evening’s contests?
And by the way, Skeets, I didn’t agree with your take on the split-screen-face commercials … until I saw the Derek Fisher and Marcus Camby spot. Man, to have a Shaq/Kobe or a KG/LeBron is one thing, but Fisher and Camby? Were there scheduling conflicts for Chuck Hayes and Ronnie Brewer?
Breen, Jackson and Van Gundy are the shit, that guy should shut up. The best line Van Gundy had was after they showed Karl say “Do what you do best.” and JVG said “he should’ve said ‘do what you don’t do best’ and they might’ve played some defense.” Nuggets fans everywhere were laughing and cutting themselves, myself included.
You can tell i’m wasted when I post on here 3 times.
I’m not the TBJ drunk comment leaver anymore!
I had hoped for better games tonight.
