Ep. 316: Billups, Blunts And Ballin’

The Basketball Jones — The Fix — Episode 316 (.mp3)
On today’s show, Tas and I discuss ‘The Big Three’ versus ‘The Big Six,’ the real return of Chauncey Billups, key fourth quarter plays, and more from the Pistons’ entertaining road win. We also puff, puff pass with Cuban, wonder what current players would make solid NBA coaches, and take a call about the San Antonio Soul Crushers. Enjoy, friends.

Ryne, I don’t know what you’re saying. KG is KG is KG is better than the sun.

Woodstock, Ont? Where did that come from? Or was that a shoutout to Doug Smith who used to cover high school sports there.
KD, I guess my sarcasm doesn’t come through well. =)
See last episode when I blasted Duncan after he went for 30 and 18…He and Garnett have been the best power forwards in the League for a long time, and still are. I have nothing but respect for those guys.
You know Cuban was doing bong hits when he approved the JKidd trade.
C’mon fellas - puffing with Phil Jackson would be the top pick. The Zen Master? FTW!
The Spurs are NOT a dynasty. I wish people would stop saying that. The definition says: “succession of rulers” GOTTA WIN BACK TO BACK.
Skeets, we heard your karaoke during Paradise City. Niiiice!
“Praise Jesus…” cracks me up every time!!
Phil Jackson! Great call.
I think Tim Duncan would be awesome to smoke up with. I mean really, you know there just has to be a party animal underneath that robotic facade. I want to see him giggling and bouncing off the walls.
In my book, the answer to any NBA-related question is always Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver if the question is recreational activities.
WHERE THE HELL ARE OF YOU!?!?!
YOU TOOK TODAY OFF!?!?!
YOU’RE ALL A BUNCH OF LAZY, LAZY BASTARDS!!!
(Um, yeah, how do you like it? Enjoy the long weekend, Americans.)
Um, yeah, how do you like it?
It feels … FANTASTIC!
It’s what happens from toking to many blunts, Skeets..get lazy and pass out.
What a great question…Sheed has to be number 1. Who do you think has the best chronic? We’ve got nice Colorado shit…I bet melo carries good greens. Maybe B Dizzle.
I’d also say that smokin with Reggie Evans would terrify me.
I can see Lindsey Hunter as a good coach
very few spurs fans that i’ve seen (and i’m one myself, which is hard to admit after today’s game, and i stop short of calling them that) claim they’re a dynasty. very few people do full-stop. it mostly only seems to come up when people ASK whether they’re one, not someone proclaiming they are as a fact.
oh, and stephon marbury and delonte west to smoke up with (though i personally wouldn’t partake).
The last episode was better than this one when Duncan got smashed. The last episode is still fresh I my mind and I can recall each and every moment of it.
I’d love to smoke with Lindsay Hunter. He’d be suffocating.
