Ep. 318: McNasty McDyess Manboards

The Basketball Jones — The Fix — Episode 318 (.mp3)
On today’s show, Skeets and I discuss the reincarnation of the Pistons D, the inspiration of Antonio McDyess, which stud player should be traded this offseason, if Jason Maxiell can be an All-Star, what Skeets’ hair would garner in a trade, and much, much more. Enjoy.

Welcome to Detroit fandom, Skeets!! Detroit ain’t so bad…
Sorry you don’t have a job now, Skeets.
As a die hard Pacer fan, your belief that Jason Maxiell will be an All-Star before Granger hurts deep. From a non-bias perspective, DG plays 40 minutes a night, guards the other team’s best player (unless its a 1 or 5)and learned to shoulder a majority of the scoring by the end of the year with an array of offensive moves and a solid open jump shot. In addition to that, he is 3 years younger, and doesn’t JUST rely on pure hustle and athleticism to succeed on the floor.
Every podcast contains a special gem. Today’s gem, hands down… “Go blow yourself cowboys” Haha. Nice.
Skeets. You’re a f***** idiot. Maxiell to be an all-star before Granger. Are you serious? Or seriously just an idiot? Granger should never have to be the number one option like he was this year, but he stepped up and played great. He’s a great number two option and will be an all-star (reminder: he plays in the East). Love the show (and Skeets, even though he is dumb)! P.E.A.C.E.

bahaha.
Which All-Star, if traded, would most benefit the team he left?
Ray Allen.
And he can be yours today for the everyday low price of $16M per year.
I’m a pistons fan but Granger easily. He averaged 19 and 6 this year. Not bad. Not all starish but he can be an allstar.
Unless Maxiell starts putting up in his prime Ben Wallace numbers I doubt he’ll ever make the allstar team.
Everybody, Ronny Turiaf is trailing Kobe 40-39 % in the TNT Overtime All-Access Camera Footage Poll on NBA.com. Hustle over there and get out the vote now!
